About

As required by Chapter 321 of the Laws of Malta, the Engineering Board includes three representatives elected by warranted engineers. As the term of the current representatives has come to an end, an election is being organised to elect representatives for the next two years.

For this purpose, an Electoral Commission has been appointed, composed of Dr Dennis Zammit, Mr Jeffrey Camilleri, and Dr Amanda Spiteri Grech, to manage and oversee the electoral process.

For the first time, this election will be conducted electronically through the Kuorum platform, a company certified to ISO standards and which has successfully managed numerous electronic elections around the world.

Engineers who, for any reason, including not having an eID account, are unable to vote independently will be able to visit Project House, where they will be provided with assistance to cast their vote through the electronic system.

Eligible to vote in this election are all engineers whose names appeared on the list published in the Government Gazette of 28 April 2026.

Voting is conducted by secret ballot, in accordance with CAP. 321, ensuring that individual voting choices remain confidential. The electronic voting solution provided by the supplier incorporates security controls including firewall protection and measures for handling high-volume access. The supplier’s solution is certified to ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security Management Systems) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems).
